ABOUT 7OCEANS

ABOUT 7OCEANS

The brand name “7OCEANS” originated from the image of the sea. When customers experience our products, we want them to be reminded of the comfortable breeze and imagine as if they can hear the sound of the deep blue sea.

Since the 1970s, Taiwan was well known in the field of outdoor furniture manufacturing. The majority outdoor furniture imported by USA were MITs which stands for Made in Taiwan. Our company's foundation started at that time period and has accumulated the experience of outdoor furniture manufacturing for almost 40 years. We created the first outdoor chair made of plastic and it was the first chair to replace hand weaved rattan chairs.

In 2005, we’ve combined the resources of our Canadian partner of 20 years, “ANDREW RICHARD DESIGNS”, and founded “7OCEANS CASUAL FURNISHINGS”. The design teams in Taiwan and Toronto, the manufacture and engineer teams in Indonesia worked seamlessly together to create the highest standard of quality in research, design, materials, and structures. We use our exclusive patented material called SOLARTTEX®. SOLARTTEX® is a high intensity weaving material which is best suited for outdoor furniture. It is strong, durable, and can withstand the test of time and weather. Our products are woven tightly by hand, in addition to the finest stainless steel and reclaimed sustainably sourced teak, to construct each collection. You can find 7OCEANS’ product all over the world from Tahiti, Norway, to Las Vegas and Florida in the states. There is a wide range of products that can be found in villas patios, urban balconies, 5-star hotels, and high-end restaurants.

In 2008, 7OCEANS returned to Taiwan, and launched its first retail store in the heart of Taipei. The company constantly dedicates itself to find better materials and state of the art crafting techniques. Each year at spring, 7OCEANS announces its new designs. In 2012, 7OCEANS has started importing renowned furniture brands into Taiwan that brings a new horizon into the outdoor furniture market and at the same time takes 7OCEANS to become the leading brand of leisure furnitures.
